Brest customs officers stopped two cases of non-declaration of an impressive amount of goods on the Polish-Belarusian border in order to underestimate customs payments.
The vehicles in which they were illegally traveling arrived for registration at the Kozlovichi checkpoint.
Thus, the driver of the Polish carrier submitted documents for the combined cargo - kitchen equipment, boilers for meat processing and other goods. During the customs inspection, almost 58 thousand units of various attachments were found in steam convectors and cooking equipment. The cost of thermostats, electric motors, electrical wiring, and pressure sensors imported into the territory of the EAEU in violation of the law amounted to more than 514 thousand rubles.
In the second case, polymer cans with screw necks were also imported in a truck of a Polish carrier, but they "forgot" to specify almost 490 thousand caps for them in the documents. The cost of the undeclared was about 260 thousand rubles.
Brest Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against both carriers in accordance with Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense. They will also have to pay the customs duties due for undeclared goods.
