he Grodno regional customs opened two criminal cases per day under Part 1 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for attempts to import drugs into the country.
The citizens with drugs were traveling from Lithuania through the Kamenny Log checkpoint.
The citizen of Kazakhstan arrived by bus. He chose a green corridor to cross the customs border, confirming that there were no goods subject to declaration, prohibited or restricted to movement.
The service dog's behavior indicated the opposite. After examining the man's personal belongings, Grodno customs officers seized a package of hashish from a pack of cigarettes.
In the second case, a German citizen, following the passenger car along the green corridor, also intended to import marijuana. He was also singled out by a service dog among those crossing the border. During further customs control, the drug was found in the handbag.
The examination of the substances confirmed their name. Citizens are detained.
