The driver hid 13 liters of alcoholic beverages in his car in order to illegally import them from Lithuania.

At the Benyakoni checkpoint, the man submitted a passenger declaration for the temporary importation of his DODGE car. According to the citizen, there were no other goods subject to declaration or restricted to movement.

After examining the vehicle using scanning technology, Grodno customs officers decided to inspect it. As a result, 8 bottles of liquid hidden behind plastic lining were removed from the luggage compartment.

An expert from the Customs Laboratory confirmed that it was wine. Both alcoholic beverages and a passenger car with a total estimated value of over 23 thousand bel. rubles were seized.

Grodno Regional Customs has initiated an administrative process under Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The decision to confiscate the seized goods and the car will be taken by the court.
