Due to the fact that the international driver hid the goods in a cache equipped in the technological niche of the tractor, the Polish shipping company may lose the vehicle.
For registration, a DAF truck carrying medical supplies arrived from Poland at the Kozlovichi checkpoint.
According to the results of the inspection of the vehicle, Brest customs officers decided to dismantle the plastic cover in the technological cavity above the passenger seat of the tractor. A used engine control unit was removed from the cache.
Hidden goods and a 2022 truck tractor with a total value of 348 thousand rubles were seized.
Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (movement of goods with concealment from customs control using a cache).
The sanction of the article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 30 basic units with possible confiscation of the hidden goods and the vehicle used to move the hidden goods.
