Since the beginning of the year, Gomel customs officers have established seven facts of illegal transportation of fruits of European origin to Russia. In total, they tried to move more than 100 tons of fruit with a total value of over 700 thousand white rubles through the Belarusian-Russian border section located in the Gomel customs region.
A Russian individual entrepreneur intended to export another batch of apples to Russia.
The fact was established by Gomel customs officers during a special operation on the section of the M-10 highway in the Dobrushsky district.
4.5 tons of apples were transported in a GAZ truck, the movement of which was stopped by customs officers.
The cost of fruits, for the transportation of which the driver could not provide the necessary documents, amounted to over 20 thousand Belarusian rubles.
Gomel Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the carrier in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of article yu provides for a fine of up to 50% of the cost of products.
