State Customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus

On the day of the 15th anniversary of the departmental Institute of Customs Authorities, employees of the educational institution were rewarded with state, departmental awards, and commendations from the Belarusian State University.
A solemn meeting dedicated to the landmark date was held today at the State Customs Committee. The invited guests included the leadership and staff of the State Customs Committee, customs authorities of the Minsk region, the first head of the Institute Ivan Dubik, the head of the Department of Customs and International Logistics of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University Viktor Ostroga, and students.
The event was decorated with creative performances by theater and film actress, singer Alexandra Gaiduk, soloists of the honored collective "Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus" Andrey Zinovatny and Dmitry Volchenkov.
The Institute of Customs Authorities carries out advanced training of customs officials in various fields of activity, retraining in the specialties "customs business" and "closed specialty", advanced training of specialists in customs declaration.
Over the 15 years of its work, the educational institution has implemented and is improving a multifaceted, vector-based, practice-oriented training model that ensures the up-to-date professional competencies of customs service employees and customs declaration specialists. Since its establishment, more than 27,000 students have studied at the Institute.
In 2012, the Customs Laboratory became part of the Institute. Its experts conduct more than 14 types of customs and forensic examinations. Over the years, about 13,000 examinations have been carried out in relation to about 670,000 objects.
