Minsk customs officers found 54 live rounds in a passenger car imported to Belarus from Lithuania

Employees of the Minsk regional Customs found 54 live ammunition in one of the passenger cars imported to Belarus from Lithuania. The incident occurred at the Kolyadichi-avto customs clearance point, where a truck with movable vehicles arrived for the customs clearance procedure.

During the inspection of the Buick Encore passenger car, the staff of the cynological department found a white cloth bag, hidden in the technological cavity of the trunk. It contained 54 rounds of ammunition, presumably for smoothbore firearms.

The State Committee for Forensic Examinations, where the contents were sent for examination, confirmed that they were ammunition suitable for firing.

The customs authorities have initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 333-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
