Homel customs operatives detained 35-year-old and 31-year-old Belarusians who intended to import a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance from Russia.
They were stopped as the driver and passenger of a passenger car while traveling along the M-10 highway.
It was decided to send the vehicle for inspection. After opening the technological niche located in the luggage compartment, a bundle wrapped in insulating tape was found. The contents of the package had all the signs of a psychotropic substance.
The substance was sent for examination to the office of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations of the Gomel region, which confirmed that it was meferon, which weighed almost 5 grams, which is almost 25 single doses.
The Gomel Customs opened a criminal case on this fact under Part 2 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. A preliminary investigation is underway.
