Gomel customs officers stopped the illegal import of more than 100 units of power tools and gasoline generators into the country during a special event on the Belarusian-Russian border.

Invalid accompanying documents were used during the transportation of the goods, and the tools themselves did not meet the safety requirements.

For example, sets of technical data sheets and stickers with images of famous foreign brands were found in the truck. All the documents had the same serial numbers, which confirmed that the information was invalid and the goods being transported were counterfeit.

The total cost of the cargo was about 60 thousand bel. rubles.

On the fact of illegal transportation by Gomel Customs, an administrative process has been initiated against the driver, a Russian citizen, under Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus, and the materials have been sent to court. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30 basic units.
