During special measures aimed at countering the involvement of foreign goods in illegal trafficking in the territory of the EAEU, Vitebsk customs officers established two facts of illegal import of such goods from Russia.

In the first case, on the Belarusian-Russian section of the border, operatives stopped the vehicle of a Belarusian individual entrepreneur, which contained almost 3 thousand units of consumer goods worth about 190 thousand white rubles. The driver provided invalid accompanying documents for the shipment.

In the second case, a truck belonging to a Belarusian carrier was stopped. During the inspection, it was found that it contained about 2,500 items of clothing, footwear, bags, auto parts, tools, and other goods worth more than 93,000 rubles, for which there were no documents at all.

The Vitebsk Customs initiated administrative proceedings against the violators in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 50% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.
