State Customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus

Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, arrived in the Vitebsk region on another working visit to assess the state of affairs in the regions.
The head of the customs department visited the Urban checkpoint, which is closed to traffic from the Latvian side, but is actively used for interception and transshipment operations.
Vladimir Orlovsky studied the social conditions of customs officers who serve on the Belarusian-Latvian border and live in nearby Braslav.
There is a dormitory converted from the administrative building of the customs. It has the necessary living conditions, there are various living rooms, playgrounds for children, a gym, as well as psychological relaxation rooms.
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee was also interested in the work of Vitebsk customs officers in carrying out certain functions of the border guard service, the results of which he got acquainted with at the Polotsk railway station. The peculiarity of the transfer of such functions at railway stations is the control of the regime at checkpoints, the unconditional execution of which the head emphasized special attention. And he inspected the work of customs officers inside the country at the Polotsk-Fiberglass customs clearance point.
Vladimir Orlovsky also took part in a meeting of the Novopolotsk City executive Committee and answered questions from citizens who arrived at the Polotsk district executive committee for a personal reception.
