Brest customs officers stopped an illegal scheme to involve a large batch of European-made cheese in trade. The operatives identified the "entrepreneur" during special events in Baranovichi.

For example, a 45-year-old Belarusian citizen organized the transportation of 250 kg of cheese in small batches from Poland through the Brest checkpoint. On the neighboring side, the products were distributed in parts to individuals for importation under the guise of goods for personal use.

Customs officers stopped the man already during the transportation of products to Russia for sale. It is logical that he did not have any shipping documents for the "gray import".

A batch of cheese worth 30 thousand rubles was seized. Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 30 basic units with possible confiscation of hidden goods.
