In both cases, trucks with goods arrived at the Kozlovichi checkpoint from Poland.
The Latvian carrier imported 45,000 units of coffee and dish detergents from Estonia to Belarus. In the documents, the goods were valued at 143 thousand bel. rubles. The actual cost was almost 860 thousand white rubles, and the difference in customs payments, which they tried to save on in this way, was more than 64 thousand white rubles.
A Polish carrier committed a similar offense when importing 750,000 tulip bulbs from Lithuania. Instead of the actual cost of the product being 605 thousand bel. rubles, he indicated an amount 11 times less. In this case, the amount of unpaid customs duties amounted to about 145 thousand white rubles.
Brest Customs has initiated administrative proceedings against carriers in accordance with Part 3 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense. Violators will also need to pay the entire amount of customs duties to be paid.
