Belarusians may lose their vehicles due to the equipment of caches in cars for the illegal import of auto parts into the country.

A 50-year-old father and his 22-year-old son were returning from Poland through the Brest checkpoint. Both chose the green corridor to cross the customs border as confirmation of the absence of goods subject to declaration.

Brest customs officers sent the vehicles for inspection using an inspection system and further in-depth inspection.

As a result, caches of hidden goods were discovered - in the armrest between the seats in one car, in the niche behind the dashboard under the steering wheel in the other.

25 car spare parts worth more than 11 thousand rubles were extracted from specially equipped hiding places.

The goods and cars hidden from customs control were seized before the court decision. Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the men under Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
