105 tons of apples and pears were transported in six trucks from Belarus to Russia without documents required for transportation. The facts were established by Belarusian customs officers during the last month during special events on the Belarusian-Russian border.
Two trucks were stopped for inspection in the Vitebsk region. They contained about 40 tons of pears worth more than 350 thousand bel. rubles. The drivers did not have any documents for the transported cargo and certificates confirming the safety of the products.
Four more trucks were stopped by customs officers in Mogilev and Gomel regions. The cost of more than 65 tons of apples, for which there were no documents, amounted to more than 340 thousand white rubles.
The customs authorities have initiated administrative proceedings against carriers and drivers in accordance with art.13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The sanction of the article in respect of an individual provides for a fine of 30 basic units, and in respect of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities – up to 50% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
