Belarusian and Chinese customs officials discussed the introduction of automated information exchange within the framework of cooperation under the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of the program of authorized economic operators of the Republic of Belarus and the program of the People's Republic of China for the management of bona fide enterprises.

Colleagues from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China arrived in Minsk on an official visit.

In 2019, Belarus was the first of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to sign an Agreement on mutual recognition of the respective AEO statuses with China. The simplification of bilateral trade indicates the effective implementation of the provisions of the document. By the way, the trade turnover between Belarus and China has more than tripled in 10 years.

In order to implement the agreements reached following the 4th meeting of the Commission on Customs and Quarantine Cooperation of the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, Technical Conditions for information interaction for the exchange of information on the AEO of Belarus and China have been developed.

At a bilateral meeting held at the State Customs Committee, final agreements were reached. Dmitry Radivonik, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, and Lin Jiantian, Head of the Enterprise Management and Audit Department of the State Customs Committee of China, agreed on the technical aspects of information interaction.

The next step is to sign the Technical Specifications during the next meeting of the Commission on Customs and Quarantine Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held at the end of this year.

Colleagues from the two countries also exchanged experiences in the field of customs clearance and discussed other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the customs sphere.
