A Polish carrier tried to save about 90 thousand Belarusian rubles on customs payments by hiding a batch of auto parts among the legally imported cargo.

The violation was detected by Brest customs officers at the "Kozlovichi" checkpoint, where the DAF truck arrived for clearance.

Shipping documents indicated that industrial and household chemicals were being imported in the vehicle.

And during the customs inspection, it was found that, in addition to the declared goods, there are 250 more car spare parts worth 385 thousand Belarusian rubles in the cargo hold.

Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process against the carrier in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.

Damage to the state in the form of unpaid customs duties will also have to be reimbursed.
