Operational Customs officers have opened a criminal case against a citizen of the Russian Federation for illegally transporting a pistol with cartridges across the State border.

Having arrived in Belarus as a driver of a coupling of vehicles, he imported two expensive passenger cars under the customs transit procedure.

Employees of the Minsk regional Customs inspected the coupling using an inspection and inspection system. According to the scan, it was determined that in the cabin of the tractor truck there are objects similar to a loaded pistol and cartridges.

During further measures, the Operational Customs established that the citizen illegally imported goods restricted to movement intentionally.

The items were seized and sent for ballistic examination. The result is that the Groza-021 pistol is a traumatic firearm, and the cartridges are suitable for firing.

The criminal case was initiated under Article 333-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. A citizen may be imprisoned for up to seven years.
