A 37-year-old citizen of the Republic of Belarus, traveling in a VOLVO truck from Poland through the Kozlovichi checkpoint, hid 65.5 thousand coins in the back of the cargo compartment of the semi-trailer.

The place of concealment was established by Brest customs officers using a stationary X-ray inspection complex.

The total value of the discovered coins of various denominations, years of issue and issuing countries amounted to more than 60 thousand bel. rubles.

For the movement of goods subject to declaration across the customs border with concealment from control by Brest Customs, an administrative process has been initiated against the driver in accordance with Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The sanction of the article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 30 basic units with possible confiscation of hidden goods.
