The Polish carrier imported complex food additives from Germany. I "forgot" to specify 9 tons of goods in the documents in order to reduce the amount of customs payments by more than 40 thousand rubles. The attempt of illegal movement was stopped by Brest customs officers. Now, for violating the law, the carrier faces a fine of up to 57 thousand rubles.

The VOLVO truck in which the specified goods were transported crossed the customs border of the EAEU at the Kozlovichi checkpoint. According to the documents, there was a batch of a complex food additive in the car, which is used in the food industry in the production of fat-and-oil products as an emulsifier. During the inspection, customs officers found another 360 bags of 25 kg of undeclared complex food additive used as a natural flavor.

The cost of the batch not specified in the documents amounted to more than 190 thousand rubles.

Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process against the Polish carrier in accordance with Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (non-declaration). The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
