Pears remain a popular commodity that is being illegally exported to Russia. This topic is relevant for law enforcement officers of Vitebsk Customs, which controls the 485 km State border with the Russian Federation.

Since the beginning of this year, Vitebsk customs officers have established the movement of almost 200 tons of pears without documents. They found trucks, each of which contained about 20 tons of fruit, during special events near the Belarusian-Russian border.

Unscrupulous carriers intended to transfer products for sale in Russia, for which there were absolutely no documents, including those confirming their safety for consumption.

According to all established facts, the cost of pears amounted to over 1.7 million Belarusian rubles.

For violation of the requirements of transportation of goods, carriers were brought to administrative responsibility in accordance with art. 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

By the way, three of them have already been repeatedly held accountable for such actions.
