Moving furniture, tiles for decoration, fabrics and other goods across the border, a Lithuanian carrier attempted to underestimate the customs duties payable by 88 thousand white rubles.

The VOLVO truck with the goods was traveling through the Kozlovichi checkpoint from Lithuania to the address of the Belarusian recipient.

In the documents submitted for registration, the cost of the goods was stated to be only 30 thousand bel. rubles. Obviously, such a small amount does not correspond to the quantity and name of the transported cargo.

As a result of the customs inspection, Brest customs officers found a second set of documents with a value of about 860 thousand rubles.

Accordingly, the cargo was deliberately "underestimated" by 28 times in order to underestimate the amount of customs payments.

Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Part 3 of Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The amount of the fine provided for by the sanction of this article is up to 30% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.
