Since the beginning of December, during special operations on the Belarusian-Russian section of the border, employees of the Mogilev and Gomel customs offices have already established six violations of the requirements for the transportation of goods.
Without the necessary accompanying documents and certificates confirming the safety of products, a total of about 13 thousand packages of animal feed and more than 40 tons of pears were going to be exported to Russia.
So, in three trucks that were stopped for inspection by Mogilev customs officers, animal feed was being transported, and in another one there were more than 20 tons of pears. There were similar goods in two other trucks that were stopped by Gomel customs officers.
The total cost of feed and fruits transported in violation of the law amounted to 625 thousand bel. rubles.
According to all the facts, customs authorities have initiated administrative proceedings in accordance with Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30 basic units in respect of an individual, and up to 50% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense in respect of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities.
