At the 51st meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the EAEU member States, 26 issues were considered, six of which were initiated by the State Customs Committee of Belarus.

The delegation of the Customs Service of Belarus, which arrived in Tajikistan for the meeting, was headed by Chairman of the State Customs Committee Vladimir Orlovsky.

Belarusian customs officers focused on prompt exchange of information on the identified facts of the presence of undocumented foreign goods on the territory of the EAEU, the application of the same approaches to determining the citizenship of an individual during the temporary importation of a vehicle into the territory of the EAEU.

The State Customs Committee also made proposals on the development of a common system for assessing the effectiveness of customs control after the release of goods and a set of measures applied to goods involved in illegal economic turnover that are under customs control.

The meeting participants considered a number of key issues related to placing goods under customs procedures for transit, storage and temporary importation.

The information interaction of the EAEU states on the implementation of the Technical Conditions for such interaction within the framework of the control of common customs processes was discussed. Decisions have been agreed on the classification of certain categories of goods in accordance with the Customs Code of the EAEU.

The event also noted the effectiveness of the customs services' implementation of the five decisions of the previous meeting of the Joint Board.
