A commercial shipment was formed from goods that were imported into Belarus by several individuals across the Belarusian-Polish border under the guise of goods for personal use. Having collected 330 thousand rubles worth of household appliances, power tools, gardening and plumbing equipment, they intended to illegally export it for sale in Russia.
The DAF truck, packed with goods, was stopped by Brest customs officers during special events when it was heading from Brest to Russia.
The documents actually mentioned the commercial batch of goods and their value.
However, during the verification measures, customs officers established the illegality of the delivery. In order to evade customs duties, 180 units of goods were imported into Belarus under the guise of goods for personal use by crushing and distributing them on the territory of Poland to various individuals.
Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process on this fact in accordance with Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. According to the sanction of the article, individuals who organize the movement of goods across the border and collection on the territory of Belarus face a fine of up to 30 basic units with possible confiscation of goods.
