Brest customs officers have identified an attempt to illegally move goods worth more than 3.3 million rubles from the Netherlands to the territory of the EAEU, which is almost 76 thousand rubles of savings on customs payments.

The shipment was discovered during an inspection at the Kozlovichi checkpoint of a MAN truck belonging to a Polish carrier.

It was already established at the weight and size control that there was an "extra load" in the semi-trailer. The actual weight of the transported goods was about 5.7 tons, which is 2.2 tons more than was stated in the documents.

This excess amounted to intentionally unaccounted for more than 68 thousand units of various medical devices.

Brest Customs has initiated an administrative process against the Polish carrier in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
